Historia Breve de la Colegiación

“The Dominican College of Notaries was initially constituted on June 3, 1967, when Decree 1866 in 1967 created it. Over the years, it has changed and adapted to the evolution of the needs and conditions of the notary profession. Its mission was further reinforced by Law 89-05 in the year 2005, reinforcing its legal status and capability of performing its mission. The August 7, 2015 approval of Law 140-15, a landmark decree that confers its rights, powers and obligations, is now expressly recognized as the main body representing notaries nationwide. As it has been during all these years, The College is determined to continue adapting its tasks and standards to the current needs while maintaining and respecting the principles behind its establishment.”
